Wow! I haven't written anything in a really long time, this what happens when you suscribe to Facebook.  Well, it's a new year and I am planning on making the most of it.  No major resolutions, mainly to be better to myself and live more passionately for the Lord.  Ryan and I were able to spend a little time over the Christmas and New Year's break but mainly I was with my family and now I am back in Kansas City for a week of staging before school starts, Ryan is in Syracuse, NY.  There's more to write, but I suddenly lost my motivation, perhaps more later.  God bless!

A Long Time Coming!

Well, for those who haven't heard yet...I had to have surgery this past week.  On Monday I was so desperate for medical attention and in so much pain, that I went to the E.R., in return I eventually had a Pippidus (sp?) Scan run and they reported back to me that my gallbladder was functioning at 20%.  Wednesday morning I had surgery to have in removed and I came home about 11 hours later.  The roughest part was discovering that I am allergic to Hydrocodine (sp?).  Anyway, I am okay and as timing is everything, wouldn't you know I am moving this coming week, which will be interested because I can not lift anything over 10 lbs.  I hope to have a lot of help though, so no worries!!  I am anxious to move, to say the least.  I have been housesitting for a friend for the summer and as it has been fun to have a house to live in and a change of atmosphere, I do not like being here by myself.  In fact I'm learning that I don't like to be without Ryan most of the time.  Granted, after a week together, I'm ready to do something by myself, but I think I'm getting the itch.  I admit it!  I think about it a lot and Ryan and I have talked about it a lot too, but neither of us want to be finishing school and be getting married too, so we are waiting.  Two years and counting.  I'm ready.

This next semester of school will prove to be a very challenging one.  Besides being in a field where you must constantly be improving, I will be taking two "kickin'" classes (and not in the good sense of the word).  I'm a bit nervous, but I suppose I'll survive.  I will become even more familiar to the Library this semester and it will be very time intensive to say the least.  I do hope to have some great opportunities present themselves to me this year, I need the boost.

Spiritually............I'm frustrated.  I'm complacent.  There is a huge part of me, that while realizing the entire Bible is important, wants to take only what Jesus said and live accordingly. I want to love more and help more and be more genuine.  I want to serve, but I don't see my purpose here.  Ryan is a great encouragement to me, but I'm digging in a little different direction right now than he is and it's hard. Pray.

Love you all, miss you, too!

My trip to St. Louis was quite wonderful! I went to my first ever professional baseball game (the Cardinals won!), we went to the St. Louis Zoo, before that, Ryan surprised me with a row boat and with great devotional time on the lake in front of the art museum. (ahh)  I was able to meet with Courtni Lombardo (a friend from HU) for lunch, I was shown St. Charles (the first capital of MO) and walked the cobble stone roads, Ryan and I braved a rather severe rain storm and tried to later that evening dry out the basement of his house. (It was pretty bad, but we tried.) We walked Lance, the dog, every morning and every evening and we cooked a lot together, I also met one of his aunts and uncles and cousins, which was nice.  He showed me all around Kirkwood and a lot around St. Louis in general.  We also spent time with his mom and step-dad (he was house-sitting for his dad and step-mom while they were on an Alaskan Cruise, so we didn't get to visit with them much.)  I did cook dinner for them the night before they left, so they could focus on packing and giving Ryan instructions, and they loved it all!! SCORE!!  I ended up spending Mother's Day at his mom's house instead of driving back, because my car flipped-out on me Sunday morning on our way to church.  The RPM's went crazy, in short it was an oil gasket and I was able to drive Ryan's car back to KC monday morning, he'll be bring my car back next week.  All in all, it was great.  Great company, great conversations, and great memories.  I hate to sound cheesey, but..... this is love!  No doubt in my mind!

A lot of !sts

I took Ryan down to HU with me this past weekend.  I have never taken a boyfriend down to Harding before.  We went on our first double date with Jaren and Travis and saw our first movie in a movie theatre together,  It was his first time traveling and staying in Arkansas.  It was a first time for both of us to take an extended roadtrip with a boyfriend of girlfriend.  His first time in Chapel.  My first time giving a thorough tour of Harding campus.

All-in-all!  It was a great trip!  Next trip.................Wednesday - Sunday in St. Louis!!!
